Altar Servers

Altar Servers do just that: serve on the altar. They are an intregal part of the mass and allow us to enjoy a seamless, reverent celebration of the Eucharist. In addition, assisting the priest at holy Mass has led to a number of religious vocations both male and female. Many priests say they became attracted to a vocation through being up on the altar as a boy.

All baptized Catholics who have received their First Holy Communion are able and encouraged to serve our community in this capacity. If you are interested in being trained as an altar server, please contact Rick Nelson at 541.472.9498. Training is held on the last Thursday of the month after school around 3:00 pm.
